How it works
How do you rank providers?
By how much your recipient gets for every pound you pay, after all fees. A provider with no fee but a poor exchange rate can cost more than one with a small fee and a better rate.
Where do the prices come from?
From the providers' own public price calculators, published fee tables and public comparison data, collected every hour. Each price shows how it was obtained.
What is the mid-market rate?
The real exchange rate between two currencies, halfway between buy and sell prices. Providers add a margin on top; the closer to mid-market, the better.
Do you include new customer offers?
They're shown separately. Rankings use the standard price that existing customers pay, so you aren't misled by a one-off intro rate.
